We started Born because senior living hadn't changed in decades — and the technology to change it finally exists. Every decision we make runs through three beliefs.

Most care trades independence for protection. We refuse that bargain. Ambient sensing lets people move freely, knowing help arrives the instant it's needed.

The intelligent home
From the doorway to the bedside, the entire house is one connected system — sensing, responding and learning, so the people inside never have to think about it.
Hundreds of unobtrusive sensors read movement, sleep, gait and vitals — no wearables, no cameras in private spaces. The home notices a change before it becomes a crisis.
Lights, blinds, temperature, music, calls and help — all by voice. Residents control their world without reaching for a switch or a phone.
Fall detection and wander-safe design run on-device. We sense patterns, not faces — dignity is built into the architecture.
Automated checks and a live picture of every resident mean staff spend their time with people. The result: roughly double the one-on-one care hours.
Built for the future
Both homes are staffed by a fleet of autonomous care assistants — from humanoid companions that walk beside residents to service units that handle the logistics of daily life. They carry the loads and run the errands, so our human team can do the one thing robots can't — care.
A humanoid assistant can steady a walk, carry belongings and simply be present, while autonomous units handle meals, laundry and supplies.
Lidar and the home's ambient sensors let each unit map every room and glide calmly around residents, walkers and pets.
The quiet 3 a.m. water or the busy lunch rush — the assistants never tire, so caregivers stay rested and present.
One assistant or a dozen, the fleet coordinates itself — routing around the busiest rooms and recharging between runs, with no one left waiting.
